Role as Graphic Designer

If you are the graphic designer you are responsible to make sure the website has good rhythm, balance, unity, dominance and that it is equally proportioned.http://www.digital-web.com/articles/principles_of_design/ It is your job to oversee what the website is looking like and to make sure color schemes are appealing to the eye. It is also your responsibility to make sure that all of the space on the page is used accordingly and that there is no wasted space or unnecessary objects in that space. It is important to use the rule of thirds to draw attention to important objects on your page.http://www.edtech.vt.edu/edtech/id/interface/screens.html One of the primary roles of the graphic designer is page layout which involves all of these examples. The layout of your page must also be flexible, this depends on the font and the resolution and page size.http://www.webstyleguide.com/page/layout.html These are all the responsibilities of the Graphic Designer.

Color Schemes

One football team that has complimentary colors are the Denver Broncos their colors are blue and orange. These colors are across from one another on the color wheel. Orange is created when you mix the colors red and yellow together. Green can be created when the colors blue and yellow are combined. Purple can be made if you combine blue and red together. When you add white to a color this new color becomes a tint and if you add black to a color this becomes a shade. Neutral colors are colors that include equal parts of the primary colors these neutral colors are black, whit and sometimes brown.
There are three main types of color schemes used to create a web site these are analogous, complimentary and monochromatic. An example of a complimentary website is http://www.cchs.ccsd.k12.co.us/. An example of an analogous website is http://www.redorangemelbourne.com.au/. The last example is a monochromatic website, http://colorado.rockies.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=col is this type of website.

Using our teams unique perspective we will determine what makes the perfect web site.

Summarize in a couple of sentences what your 1st step is to accomplish this task.
Each team member will make a list of what makes they believe makes the perfect web site, then the lists will be brought together and we will determine as a team what the best web sites characteristics will be.

When describing a good website, Why are descriptive words like; cool, easy, fun, and awesome not good enough to satisfy the CEO of this company?
The CEO does not want bottomless words that lack true meaning. Words like cool, easy and fun are just too simple.

What does the CEO want and how will you achieve this?
